Park Dedication

On Wednesday, July 13th 2016 the archaeological park, registered with the Florida Division of Historical Resources as Paleo Site 596, received an additional honorary title — the Elliott Site. The name was bestowed by the Heritage Pines Community and encompasses a large sinkhole surrounded by a
naturally idyllic park.

Wednesday's dedication ceremony included a presentation of a plaque to the Elliotts, noting their contribution, and unveiling of a sign on the premises identifying it as "Paleo Park the Elliott Site."
